Thomas was raised in Whistler, where he developed a passion for the outdoors. Before deciding to pursue his legal career, he was a competitive snowboarder, winning the provincial championships in half-pipe and boardercross.
Thomas received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 2009. In the third year of his undergraduate, he decided to implement his education and started a high-end furniture delivery business. Thomas owned and operated the business for two years before he sold his share and went to law school.
Due to his love of travel and adventure, Thomas chose to pursue his legal education at Bond University in Australia. He graduated with honours and returned to Canada to begin his new legal career.
Thomas completed his articles with Drysdale Bacon McStravick LLP and was called to the bar in May 2014. He has a particular interest in civil litigation and thrives in the high-pressure setting of the courtroom. Since being called to the bar, Thomas has argued cases before the Provincial Court, the Supreme Court and the British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal. Thomas, although thriving in the high pressure setting of the courtroom, appreciates the value of early resolution though negotiated settlement.
Thomas has a keen ability to understand his clients' needs and uses this skill to formulate tailored strategies depending on the desired outcome and financial means of his clients. From the initial consultation, Thomas approaches each case as if preparing for trial, knowing that preparation is the key to success.
Thomas' practice focuses on general litigation matters including estate litigation, contractual disputes, shareholder disputes and personal injury.
