About Jayme Yamaguchi
Jayme is a litigation associate at Drysdale Bacon McStravick LLP. He was called to the British Columbia bar in 2019, and has been a member of the Washington State Bar Association and the Arizona Bar Association since 2016.
Jayme loves the law. His primary interests are commercial litigation and estate disputes, however, he maintains a general practice. He has served as a volunteer teaching high school students about constitutional law, and enjoys writing articles about the various issues affecting the world of law.
In Canada, Jayme has appeared before the Provincial Court of British Columbia, the Supreme Court of British Columbia, and the National Energy Board. In the United States, he conducted trials before the Bullhead City Justice Court, Kingman/Cerbat Justice Court, and the Superior Court of Arizona.
Jayme graduated with honours from the University of Arizona in 2009. Two years later, he enrolled in the University of Arizona’s James E. Rogers College of Law where he earned a Juris Doctor as well as a Certificate in International Trade and Business Law. In 2015, he earned a Master’s Degree from the University of British Columbia’s Allard School of Law.
After earning his second law degree, Jayme worked for the Mohave County Attorney’s Office as a deputy county attorney prosecuting misdemeanour and felony crimes. He returned to British Columbia in 2018 to article with Drysdale Bacon McStravick LLP where he was invited to stay on as a litigation associate.
Jayme’s prior career was working as a line cook and sushi chef, which included a brief stage at a Michelin three-star restaurant in New York City.
